Welcome
to our International Club web page. We hope you will benefit from the features
and the functionality we have built into it, and would like to hear from you if
you think of other things which you would like to see on the web page.
Aims of the website
To provide a club for past and present International tennis players, in
order to promote and renew friendships across the net and the world, by playing
friendly matches, to encourage the practise of fairplay and sportsmanship, to
develop these traits in junior players and to promote tennis generally.
The purpose of the website
To establish a modern means of
communication between the committee, match managers, and members of the IC of
GB, and a link to the IC Council site, which houses all the competition rules,
as well as to provide members with a link to other International Clubs round
the world.
The general public are also
welcome to access parts of our sites, so that they can see how the activities
of our club interface with other aspects of the world of tennis.
The structure has been devised
so as to have one common domain name www.ic-tennis.org, which is the IC
Council, to which the other member countries simply add their identification.
Hence the IC of GB site address is www.ic-tennis.org/gb
Why not add the address to your Favourites straight away?
Some countries have used their own form of web site address and these are
accessible via hyperlinks on the "Council and Other IC's" page
The GB site was the first to go live. This was followed by the IC Council site
and then the IC of France, IC of Italy, IC of Czech Republic, with hyperlinks
to the IC of USA, IC of New Zealand, IC of Netherlands and IC of Monaco sites.
All countries' sites can be accessed quickly via the page entitled "IC
Council and Other IC's", by clicking on the appropriate flag. If a
"hand" appears, the country has a link.
